Rod is the only one of the teens who was not given an Elementus power. So he had no choice but to create one of his own, "Tech", which was a hybrid of electricity and metal. He is portrayed by Eli Johnson.
Rod was assistant to the school janitor before joining the team as well as a tech wiz. He got so fed up with not having a power of his own when his friends did, he simply made one himself by downloading one off an internet web site. He is the snark of the team, often observing the idiocy of situations in a rather know-it-all manor. However, he isn't always correct in his observations. He is Captain Grand's least favorite of the team.
